This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains the general principles of how Sabiedrība ar ierobežotu atbildību "VENTUREFACULTY" (“Venture Faculty”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), collects and uses information when you visit our website at https://www.venturefaculty.io/ (“Website”), use any of our services (“Services”) that we provide to you, or if you interact with us in any other way.
By communicating with us through the Website or our Services, you may be explicitly asked to confirm acceptance of this Policy.
We process personal data under this Policy and in accordance with applicable legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) ("GDPR") and the applicable national data protection laws, as applicable to the data controller (“Data Protection Law”). We process your Personal Data based on:

- our legitimate interest to ensure the quality of our Website or Services, ensure security, protection of our financial interests, spread information about our Services and events, keep business relationships with our clients and partners, understand and improve how people are using our Website, find employees, maintain and develop business relationships and communication between Venture Faculty and visitors, and provide information about relevant developments relating to our services.
Venture Faculty processes the Personal Data of the visitors of the Website only if the Personal Data is being filled in and/or sent in by the visitor independently via forms available on the Website. By filling in the appropriate forms and/or by independently sending your Personal Data to us, you consent to this Policy.
We limit the processing of your Personal Data to the scope of purpose for which the data was collected. Depending on a case-by-case basis, we may process your Personal Data for such a purpose:

c) Right to object. You have the right to object to processing (using) your Personal Data at anytime, including, for example, the processing of your Personal Data for marketing purposes;
d) Right to erasure. You may request that your Personal Data be deleted if the Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected;
e) Right to restriction of processing. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your Personal Data in certain circumstances defined by Art. 18 GDPR. During any such restriction, we may only store your data and may not otherwise process it;
f) Right to data portability. Where we process your Personal Data based on your consent or a contract, you have the right to receive a copy of that data in a digital format;
g) Right to withdraw your consent. In cases where the processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time;

i) Unsubscribe from marketing. We allow you to unsubscribe of our communication with you whenever we send you information about us, the events that we organize, or any other information that we believe may be of interest to you.
6. PROCEDURE FOR COLLECTION, STORAGE, TRANSFER, AND OTHER TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING.
The security of Personal Data processed by Venture Faculty is ensured by the implementation of legal, organizational, and technical measures necessary to fully comply with the requirements of the current law, regulation, or professional standards.
We ensure the safety of your Personal Data and we take all the necessary measures to preventunauthorized access to such data.
When providing Services to you, we may be obliged to transfer your Personal Data to third parties. This may include data transfer in the context of certain legal procedures and/or litigations (if any). We may also transfer your data between entities of Venture Faculty, partners, and authorities when we are legally obliged to do so. We also share your Personal Data with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Website, such as analytics and behaviour analytics providers.
7. RETENTION PERIODS
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, in accordance with applicable law. Specifically:
- Contact details and information submitted through Website forms are retained for up to 2 years from the date of your last interaction with us;
- Personal Data processed for marketing purposes is retained until you withdraw your consent (unsubscribe), after which we retain a record of your opt-out for up to 1 year;
- Analytics and cookies data is retained for up to 13 months from collection.
Your Personal Data may be retained for longer periods where required by law, regulation, or professional standards, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. After expiry of the applicable retention period, we securely delete or anonymise your Personal Data.
For other purposes, the period for which the Personal Data may be stored depends on several criteria, such as:
- typeof Personal Data;
- our legal obligations under laws and regulations to retain your Personal Data for valid purposes.
8. CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER
We are part of a global network and in common with other service providers, we use third parties located in other countries to help us run our business. As a result, Personal Data may be transferred outside the countries where we and you are located. For certain Personal Data requests, we must first verify your identity before processing your request. To do so, we may ask you to provide us with your full name, contact information, and relationship with Venture Faculty. Depending on your request, we may ask you to provide additional information. We will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt.
